Dark River Productions is me,
Doug Carter. I am located southeast of Raleigh, NC. My music background is diverse, so I have
posted My Bio, if you're interested.
I also have a couple of MySpace pages;
one for me and
one for DRP.
...and one more for my ReverbNation page
Basically, I have 20+ years of music background including 5 years at The Berklee College Of Music,
Boston. I provide straightforward music services & solutions:
- production, recording, mixing, digital editing,
- composition, arranging, rehearsal/director,
- transcription, music publishing,
- analog/digital to digital audio transfers (from vinyl, cassette, dat, etc.)
- personal studio design and layout,
- guitar and electric bass.
I operate out of a modest, private, multi-track studio that I call Dark River Projects;
- large enough to comfortably accommodate a 4 piece group;
- appropriate for voice-overs, small to medium sized band demos and cd projects.
I have background as arranger, director and guitarist with larger ensembles as well, including Big Band and Studio Orchestra, and have
recorded and/or produced sessions at many of the top New York, Atlanta, Seattle and Boston area studios.
I also enjoy teaching. I have limited time slots available for guitar/theory students at the Neighborhood Academy of Music in Clayton, NC.
Please contact 'The Academy' or me for availability.
My previous teaching experience:
- Northwest College - Kirkland WA
- Various Music shops in and around Seattle, WA
- Author - Fundamental Guitar (©1988 DC Music); Beginning Music and the Guitar (©2009 DRP)
